Jenson Button produced a spirited drive to storm past Vettel in lap 1 and went on to win the 2009 Turkish Grand Prix. The Briton was almost always in control of the race as the Red Bulls slowly faded away. Vettel looked strong until a switch in strategy saw him make an extra stop and losing out in the end to his team mate Mark Webber.

Vettel will start the 2009 Turkish Grand Prix on pole postion after a spirited fight with the Brawns on Saturday.  The Championship leaders will be right behind the youngest race winner as he attempts to reduce his deficit to Jenson Button in the World Championship.
