Whine Whine Whine…
Jun 13th, 2007 by AJ
Is there no end to Alonso’s whining? If he does not drive well, or if he makes mistakes, they are somehow his teams fault because the team shares the same nationality with his team mate who beat Alonso with a superbly flawless drive.
Alonso’s latest quote whine:
He said: “From the first moment, I wasn’t completely comfortable. I am in an English team, with an English team-mate, who is doing brilliantly.
“We knew all the support and help would go his way. It is something I understand and I’m not complaining.”
Honestly Alonso, you are starting to leave a very sour taste in my mouth. Can you just do your racing and stop blaming everything else including the air we breathe for your mistakes or for things not going your way. You are starting to sound like a spoilt child always ready to throw a tantrum.

Ron Dennis’ response to the comment
To be fair I linked to an article written by neither the British press nor the Spanish!
Firstly, the comment was a part of interview, the link in the main article was broken but I assume it was to this page. That article neither gave the entire interview nor wrote the question for which that was the response.
Did you know that in that interview, they had read all the headlines that the British tabloids unceremoniously criticized Alonso’s Monaco Victory. Alonso kept a cool head and simply replied that he did not care what the media said.
Alonso can be blamed for being outspoken, he has done it before(many times) but in the start of this season he made a conscious effort to stay away from controversy even if it meant he would not do that many interviews.
The line was a part of an answer not the answer. Just like Hamilton’s famous “I drive a #2 car and am the #2 driver” quote in Monaco was shown in a different light and blown over proportion. The text of that interview (complete without any commentary from third person) is available here
Frankly, even if he spoke his mind and meant it the way the press is putting it… he has every bloody right to do so. It probably means he is not a team player… But wasn’t it the same guy who visited every single factory of Renault after his 2006 victory and shared it with every team member.
Its very easy to take a line and write text before and after it to make it sound the way anybody wants. It takes a lot be grateful for what your team does. That way I am certain Alonso is not ungrateful for the effort his team puts to make him race.
Exactly!, the point is he should stop making up excuses and accept the mistakes on his part. rather than whining about point have nothing to do with his mistakes!!
